Landlords Legal Obligations.
A Landlord by law has a legal obligation to have the gas pipewok, appliances ventilation and flues in their rented properties inspected for gas tightness, and safe operation. There is also a legal obligation to have the gas appliances in their rented properties maintained. (In other words Serviced)
When there is a gas cooker or hob in a rented property, we will service it free of charge, providing it doesnt require a repair, alteration or up grading.
Gas and Electricity Available at Visits.
Should we be asked to carry out any work in any property, please ensure that the property has gas and electricity available. Sounds obvious, but many rented properties are served by card fed meters. There have been occasions that on arrival, the meter's emergency credit has been used. We cannot carry out safety and servicing without gas and electricity being available at any property. If we turn up at a property which has no gas or electricity, then the Landlord will be charged a fee of £30.00 which wont be refundable.
We cover most of Glasgow, (sorry not the city centre) East Kilbride, Hamilton, Bellshill. Cambuslang, Barrhead, Neilston, Paisley etc.
