Hints and Tips.
By all means contact us any time you have a problem with your gas appliances or central heating, thats what we are here for. That said, there are a few things you can check safely to help yourself.
For example, if your heating suddenly stops working, many systems are sealed nowadays, Combi's mainly, and most are designed to stop working if the system pressure drops too low. Most have a guage with a needle which should be pointing between 1 and 1.5 bar. If it is below this range and you know how to increase it, this may be all that is required to restore your heating and hot water.
Are you sure your appliance is receiving gas? Card and smart meters can lock out. If you have another gas appliance such as a cooker or a fire, try and operate these. If they also dont work, suspect your gas supply. You can then contact your energy supplier for help and advice.
Are you sure your central heating has electricity? Is there no light or display that you normally observe. It is not the first timeI have called out to find that the electric switch for the central heating has been turned off by mistake.
We are happy to chat with customers before you decide to call us out, and remember, we dont have additional call out charges, and also our genuine, No Fix No Fee policy.
